Vermont Trip Essay Research Paper VERMONT TRIPOn free essay sample
Vermont Trip Essay, Research Paper VERMONT Trip: On behalf of myself, and many other pupils, I would wish to officially turn to the Drug and Alcohol job that accompanied the 1999-2000 school twelvemonth Vermont trip. Many times I hold heard narratives about the? ill-famed? Vermont Ski trip, and the many illegal things that have occurred systematically throughout the old ages. To the best of my cognition this behaviour was ignored, overlooked, and typical of this trip. So in believing that this sort of? partying? was accustomed, I decided to take part along with several others who had attended past trips. At first I was hesitant in conveying anything, but after a twosome of conversations with certain persons, I was convinced that it would be wholly right to make so without any penalty being enforced. Therefore brought me to obtaining the? individual? bottle I was conveying for a friend, and I to consume with others, along with the other alcoholic drinks brought on the trip by my equals. At about 11:50 PM I arrived to lade the coach. At a small after 12:00 AM we left the Holley High School for Vermont, without? A BAG CHECK? by any of the seven chaperones. After a 10 hr thrust we arrived at our finish, Stowe Ski Resort. At around 4:30 PM we loaded the coach to travel to the Courtyard By Marriot, the hotel in which we would be remaining at for the balance of the trip. Following our reaching we were given the room assignments, we so unpacked our bags rapidly, and my roomies and I hid the intoxicant that we each brought under our beds. After that a bulk of us pupils went to the pool, and jacuzzi for a swim before our expected 7:00 PM dinner clip. Dinner lasted for about a half an hr, to 45 proceedingss, and shortly after I so once more went to the pool with a twosome of people for another swim. Around 8:30 PM I returned upstairs to a friends room, where I so received a phone call from one of my roomies inquiring me if I planned on returning to our room to? drink. ? I answered hesitatingly, but after a small debating I decided to travel back to my room. At that minute I merely returned, to alter out of my swim apparels, before I headed back to the friends room. While I was in my room altering I was asked by two of my roomies to compare their drinks, and decipher which was better. This so proves that the intoxicant, both mine, and my roomies, had already been out and consumed long earlier I foremost returned. After that, I went to my friends room and we both so returned to my room at about 9:00pm. Upon reaching we had found six other people in my room already at that place for one intent. I so proceeded to inquire one of my roomies where the bottles were, he so replied? in the spirits cabinet, ? certain enough there I found all the intoxicant moved from under the beds where I last knew it to be, into the topographic point where I was hive awaying my apparels. At that minute I removed? the bottle? from the cabinet to go through around to my friends. First I had opened the bottle so that everyone could smell the Butter Scotch olfactory property. After go throughing it about to all eight people including myself. , we so all took? one babe sip? from the bottle. A few minutes after that most of the people in my room decided to travel take a swim. Then three female pupils left to travel alteration into their swimming garb, go forthing my friend, three of my roomies, and myself in the room. At this point the bottle had been sealed for a twosome of proceedingss. I was so listening to one of my roomies tell a narrative, while the other two changed. During this short period of clip there was a knock on the door, and Mr. Orbaker who was the ski trip adviser, walked into the room to see me keeping the bottle in my custodies. After I got done listening to my roomies narrative I so noticed Mr. Orbaker standing in the hallway staring at me. He so motioned for me to walk over to him, as I did he signaled for the bottle, grabbed the spirits and proceeded to state? manner to be an *censored* ? and he so exited the room. Five proceedingss following the above incident he returned to the room, so started shouting at us with profane words. Shouting at us he so mentioned how he, has my room with intoxicant, one room smoke coffin nails, and another room illuming a bowl full of Marijuana. Furiously he following told everyone to acquire to their suites and dispose of anything we didn? T want him to see, because there? might be? a bag and room cheque. At this minute two of my roomies rapidly emptied their intoxicant into the sink and conceal the empty bottles. Moments subsequently he so went to every room and told them to free of anything that was inappropriate on this trip, and how their might be cheques through the dark, and we had to kip with our doors open. At 10 PM all pupils on the trip turned in for the dark. To the best of my memory he was merely look intoing suites to see if we were prosecuting in any type of? partying. ? Approximately at 11:45pm he stopped all room cheques in which there were neer any complete hunts of the room or bags. This completes our first dark in Vermont. When my room woke up in the forenoon a parent chaperone came to our room to state us to acquire rid of everything we had cause Mr. Orbaker was believing about a bag cheque. Which I might add one time once more, neer occurred. We left the hotel at about 7:45 AM for Sugarbush Ski Resort. As I got on the coach the first thing he said to me was? what are you making here? ? I replied with ? what? ? he so proceeded to state? I thought you came here to party. ? Following that I merely sat down in my place without stating a word to anyone. As we were on our manner to Sugarbush he decided to speak to the group as a whole. Over the loud talker he went on to state us how he was really pissed off, and disappointed in us for making what we did the dark earlier. Then he went on to state he knows it was more than merely one of us and how we were all guilty, nevertheless there were a few guiltless people and they know who they were. After the 10 minute talk he finished it up by saying that we would be halting at the shop on the manner place. As he said that he made a cleft how my room ( room 201 ) would be better off if we picked up some Tylenol for our concerns, and how another room would profit by purchasing Nicotine spots for their dependence. We following arrived at Sugarbush and he told us that he didn? T attention whether we had merriment or non do we already ruined his trip. Besides that if there were any more jobs we would be sent place early. After skiing about 4pm we made our manner back to the hotel, but foremost we made a halt at the food market shop so we all could pick up snack points. We arrived at the hotel around 5-5:30 PM, and so went on with our dark like nil had happened. At around 8:00 PM a pupil from another room took me up to the 3rd floor and show ed me where his room had thrown out their intoxicant. There I saw three full bottles of spirits in the underside of the refuse can. I asked the pupil when they threw the intoxicant out and he said merely after dinner on Saturday dark. So about 24 hours after my incident, there was still alcohol in many pupils ownership, which in my eyes shows that Mr. Orbaker neglected his responsibilities as a chaperone, by non seeking every room, every bag, and every anything. Subsequently that dark at 10 PM we had what I guess is the one-year pizza party in Vermont, which allowed us to remain out of our suites until 10:45 PM. At that clip we had to maintain our doors unfastened like we had the old dark, so he could look into in on us. Despite of the curfew set Forth by Mr. Orbaker, he himself allowed two pupils stay downstairs and converse with one of the male childs relations. At about 12 AM the two male childs returned upstairs and went to bed. In the meanwhile Mr. Orbaker had been executing his small room cheques and kept inquiring my room if the two pupils had returned. Our room replied? No? because one of the male childs was remaining in my room so we knew they hadn? T returned. To me this shows how a small favouritism was exemplified by Mr. Orbaker. This now brings us to our concluding twenty-four hours on the trip, Sunday forenoon. We had all gotten up and on the coach like the twenty-four hours before, but this clip without any remarks to certain persons. We left for Sugarbush around 7:45 AM. On our manner at that place he once more came on over the loud talker and told us how last dark was better, but how he hadn? T forgotten, and how he wanted us to maintain the trip positive, non negative. After skiing till 3 PM we loaded the coach and left for place. The whole manner place there were no jobs or anything said about Friday darks debacle. As we arrived in Brockport one time once more he used the loud talker to province that the trip ended much better than it had started, and when speaking to people outside of the ski nine maintain the trip positive and everything will be all right. Besides as we pulled into the school parking batch, he made the same statement one time once more, as above, and how we were all to be in school for home room. The following forenoon I got up and came to school like any other twenty-four hours, and candidly expected everything to be all right like nil happened. Just after 3rd period a member from the ski nine rushed up to me and told me how they had merely talked to Mr. Orbaker. They told me that Mr. Orbaker said to them? retrieve how I told you guys to maintain the trip positive, well it? s excessively late it? s out and I had to describe it to Mr. Camuto. ? I so in a terror ran to Mr. Orbaker and asked him what was traveling to go on and he said how that he had to compose me up, how he had to compose up that he smelt coffin nail fume, and marijuana fume. During the center of 4th period I was called down to the office to talk with Mr. Camuto. When I arrived he asked me about the state of affairs and I proceeded to state him what went on. I neer one time lied to him about anything that happened. I was so told by Mr. Camuto how I would have 5 yearss in ISS, and lose all extra-curricular privileges for the following 20 hebdomads. I so asked Mr. Camuto what was go oning with anybody else and he said that there was non much they can make because Mr. Orbaker merely saw me. I so asked him what was traveling to go on to the room where Mr. Orbaker smelt the marihuana, this clip I was told that there was small checking they had to make and that they still had to speak to the male childs that occupied that room. Subsequently that twenty-four hours as I was sitting in the ISS room I heard over the loud talker the male childs that were in the room associated with the marihuana fume called down to the office. To my surprise cipher else joined me that twenty-four hours in ISS. At the terminal of the twenty-four hours I asked a friend what went on with the? pot tobacco users? and I was told how they all denied it, and merely said people kept coming in and out of their room the whole dark so they had no hint who was smoking. I so went place around 2:30 PM to state my parents what went on, but when I got home Mr. Camuto had already contacted my female parent and asked for a meeting the following afternoon with himself, my parents, Mr. Orbaker, and I. So the following twenty-four hours at 3:30 PM my parents and I walked into Mr. Camuto? s office to happen that he had no thought where Mr. Orbaker was. About 10 proceedingss subsequently Mr. Orbaker showed up and explained he was late due to the fact his Canis familiaris had ran off, and he had merely found him so he had to take the Canis familiaris place foremost. The first thing said in the meeting was my parents inquiring Mr. Orbaker for his side of the narrative. In which the narrative was the same as my parents had heard from both Mr. Camuto, and I. Following my male parent went on to inquire why I was the lone 1 in problem for the full trip. Alternatively of replying the inquiry they decided to work around it and state how I was caught with the bottle in my custodies. Following I asked Mr. Camuto once more what was go oning with the? pot tobacco users? and he so told me? what can he make, they can? t prove who did it so they can? t punish anyone? . I so said? good penalize everybody? and he replied with? we can? t do that. ? The meeting concluded with my parents stating that? because our boy told the truth and didn? t prevarication, he? s traveling to take the penalty for the full trip, ? and besides how we would wish to speak to Mr. Pileggi about the incident and the fact of how the policy should be changed in a twosome of ways. Mr. Camuto so said? I? ll talk to Mr. Pileggi in the forenoon and give you a call back tomorrow on what he would wish to make. ? To put the record straight it has been 3 yearss since the meeting, and STILL NO CALL Back from MR. CAMUTO, and I would wish to add my male parent has called Mr. Camuto and left messages at least two different times for Mr. Camuto to name him back. On Friday during the twenty-four hours I decided to travel to his office personally and inquire about what had been done. Mr. Camuto told me how he had talked to Mr. Pileggi Wednesday forenoon and Mr. Pileggi did non cognize what he would wish to make, and every bit shortly as he found out he would reach us instantly. In decision I am left no other pick but to take affairs into my ain custodies because my parents and I are tired of being blown off by Mr. Camuto. I would besides wish to province that in no manner am I stating I shouldn? T be punished or that the penalty is in appropriate. I would merely wish to see others who were involved merely every bit much, or more than me be punished to the fullest extent of the school policy as I am. In my sentiment there should be many other pupils sitting out in their spring athletics, holding their National Honor Society rank revoked, and non go toing the prom merely like me. I would wish to cognize since when in this universe is stating prevarications acceptable and stating the truth gets you into 10 times every bit much problem. Thank you for the clip and consideration,

Divergent Setting Essays Divergent Setting Paper Divergent Setting Paper Divergent Setting The building that was once called the Sears Tower -we call it the Hub- emerges from the fog, a black pillar in the skyline. This quote suggests that the fictional novel, Divergent, takes place in a futuristic society of what was previously known as the city of Chicago, Illinois. This city is fenced off from the outside world. The Hub, known previously as the Sears or Willis Tower, is the citys tallest and most important building. It is where the Choosing Ceremony, the ceremony in which sixteen year-olds hose what faction they want to belong to for the rest of their lives, takes place. A faction is a large clique of people who value the things and have the same goals. There are five factions that make up the disappoint society: Abnegation, Dauntless, Candor, Amity, and Erudite. The main character, Beatrice Prior, also known as Tries, transfers from the Abnegation Faction to the Dauntless Faction. By transferring to Dauntless, Tries becomes an initiate, a young person training to become a member of that faction, and moves to the Dauntless Headquarters, an area far from town where al the members and initiates of Dauntless live. Tries entered the headquarters by jumping off a skyscraper through a hole with a net at the bottom. When lying on the net, you can see the walls of the seven story building which are made of stone. The Pit, the heart of the Dauntless Headquarters, Is a huge underground cavern which consists of a deep pit and a glass roof. Narrow pathways and steps are carved Into the stone walls with no railings to prevent people from falling over the edge. Inside the Pit, there are places such as the dining hall, the training room, the tattoo parlor, ND the dormitory. On the right side of the Pit lies the Chasm, a deadly river with an iron railing that surrounds It. A glass building Is located above the Chasm and the Pit. Located on its eighth floor, the Dauntless Control Room Is where the Dauntless monitor Its members and what Is going on In the Dauntless Headquarters. Just beyond the glass building lays the Fear Landscape which where the final stage of initiation takes place and where the Dauntless discover their fears. Divergent leads us on an adventure In a futuristic disappoint version of the world we currently live in.

Industrial Applications of Computers Case Study
Industrial Applications of Computers - Case Study Example Profitable papermaking means continuous production with minimal deviations from quality specifications. While steady-state control performance is essential, the elimination of waste during transitions such as changes of grades and break recoveries is where the greatest economic gains can be achieved. As production rates rise, often stretching the design capacity of the paper machine, Quality Control Systems (QCS) allow the company to improve the efficiency and quality of the production. This is evident from the significant new developments in quality measurement and control since the introduction of cross direction (CD) control seen in the past years since the 1970s.For paperboard manufacturing using the paper machines, it is necessary to establish the control system that provides a high-mix, low-volume product production. Control parameters are the key component of optimizing the operation, and so the paperboard company should consider an advanced performing QCS. In many cases, the control parameters of paperboard production facilities are normally fixed to the same value using a typical product. Many of these paper production facilities operates in a high mix, low-volume condition because the equipment are consolidated and diverse products are produced to satisfy the end userââ¬â¢s request. Moreover, the paperboard production equipment is often disturbed by the processes of feed preparation or by auxiliary systems. It is for this reason that the control parameters require optimization.... The new pearl harbor revisited Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
The new pearl harbor revisited - Essay Example Zubaydah had mentioned that some members of the Saudi royal family was in support of al-Qaeda and had been informed in advance that there would be terrorist attacks in America on September 11,2001. Besides Posnerââ¬â¢s honesty being in doubt thanks to his past works his information was important in preparing the American public on future attacks by Saudi Arabia in efforts to gain control of the richest oil reserves in the world. (Griffin 142) Zubaydah was one of the main characters in the Commissions report but even then not even once did the commission mention that three members of the Saudi royal family had known about the attacks of 9/11 including Prince Ahmed. One of the commissionââ¬â¢s duties was to cover up any links between Saudi Arabia and the attack of 9/11 and therefore would not mention Posnerââ¬â¢s account of Zubaydahââ¬â¢s testimony, for the same reason the CIA destroyed tapes involving Zubaydahââ¬â¢s interrogation(Griffin 150). Later Abu Zubaydahââ¬â¢ s testimony was in doubt with Risen wondering whether his recitation of telephone numbers had been well rehearsed earlier on so as to be employed incase he is captured and create discord between the Saudi royal family, which Osama hated, and America. ... The CIA however viewed him as a central member of the al-Qaeda with important information to give, a view that was publicly supported by President Bush (Griffin 158). Posnerââ¬â¢s account was in agreement with the FBIââ¬â¢s view that Zubaydah produced most information on traditional interrogation and the CIAââ¬â¢s view that he was a central person in Al-Qaeda. In both cases Zubaydah gave the names of Joseââ¬â¢ Padilla and Khalid Mohammed but no Saudi officials were mentioned. With the information publicly available it becomes impossible to determine whether the testimony by Zubaydah as presented by the Posner account was true. This could however could have been possible if there was a thorough investigation which unfortunately the 9/11 commission did not give (Griffin 160) . On the issue of al-Qaeda funding, Zubaydah had mentioned that the terrorists got funds from the Saudis. The commission however, did not even mention this reported claim in their report but instead den ied even having found any evidence of funding from the Saudi government and the senior Saudi officialââ¬â¢s .Later a Los Angeles Times story presented the information to have been politically instigated. The author of the story, Josh Meyer, had interviewed several senior members of the 9/11 commission. The commission had uncovered that the Saudi Arabian government funded the terrorist group and even provided equipment even maybe directly to Osama. With the commission being bipartisan had wondered how to present this information in its report .They finally decided to deny getting any information on the funding (Griffin169) The 9/11 commission had sent a memo to the FBI headquarters through Ken Williams to which they did not respond. The commission decided to down play this by simply

Ethical Implications of Cloning and Stem Cell Research Essay Example for Free
Ethical Implications of Cloning and Stem Cell Research Essay Bio-medical breakthroughs in the fields of genetic and tissue engineering hold great promise. However, as modern medicine advances, it often poses major ethical issues on which people are seriously divided. The argument in favor of proceeding with research at unrestrained pace is mainly advocated by scientists and medical experts who would like to see some fantastic therapeutic benefits that science promises in the form of stem cell technologies. Scientists are absolutely thrilled by the possibilities looming on the horizon (Thompson, Harrub 2001c). On the other side of the debate are people, sometimes led by religious groups, who are concerned we may going too far too fast, using unacceptable means and in unknown directions. Stem cell research has the greatest potential for saving lives, but is controversial for its research based on embryos and fetuses (Rickard 2002). Stem cells are immature and unspecialized cells that that possess both the capacity to renew themselves indefinitely as well as the capability to differentiate themselves into specialized and mature cells. Mature cells, such as the heartââ¬â¢s myocytes or the liverââ¬â¢s hepatocytes, stop dividing after several dozen divisions, while stem cells can keep on dividing indefinitely, either renewing themselves or bringing out specialized cells. There are four types of stem cells in the human body 1) adult stem cells, 2) fetal stem cells 3) embryonic stem cells, and 4) nuclear transplant stem cells. For the first three months of pregnancy, a fertilized cell, or zygote, divides and grows in the mothers womb and is referred to as an embryo. The embryoââ¬â¢s stem cells are the precursors of the development of a complete human baby. They produce all of the bodys various 100 trillion cells. It should become possible to use embryonic stem cells to regenerate any type of cell that the body needs. When the embryo assumes an apparent human body form, it becomes a fetus. Because the fetus is growing rapidly, all tissues and organs, including the brain, contain stem cells. It is for this reason that stem cell researchers are interested in studying fetal tissues. Studies suggest that human embryonic stem cells have immense potential in terms of developing into multiple tissue types and long-term self-renewal. Therefore, stem cell research entails the intentional creation of human embryos in the highly artificial context of an IVF clinic, using cloning techniques, and discarding them after their use for research is exhausted (Thompson, Harrub 2001a). The question to be resolved is whether research on embryonic stem cells constitutes a violation of fundamental human rights, in particular the principle of respect for human dignity and the right of life. However, many believe that conception/fertilization is not a moment but a process, and the early development does not indicate true individuality in any sense of the word, and therefore there is violation of human rights. The promise of embryo research, liberal-minded people tend to think, is too real to ignore any longer by sticking to conservative attitudes that stand in the face of pragmatism. And yet, even they would flinch at the possibilities of reproductive cloning. The difference between therapeutic cloning using embryonic stem cells (stem cell research) and reproductive cloning is the distinction between creating cloned body tissue or organs for therapeutic purposes and creating cloned human beings. Reproductive cloning is generally viewed as morally abhorrent because it is seen as unnatural and a commodification of human life, and it captures public fears about the power of science to pursue a eugenic agenda. When governmental organizations of today debate ban on human cloning, the main issue in such debates would be whether to ban outright all forms of embryo cloning, which a number of countries seem to support, or to permit the cloning of embryos for research purposes (therapeutic cloning/ stem cell research) while outlawing human reproductive cloning. Besides reproductive cloning, there is another untoward ramification to therapeutic cloning, which is cloning for enhancement. The issue of using advances in stem cell research for the purposes of enhancement, as against solely therapeutic purposes, opens up a Pandoraââ¬â¢s box of all kinds of complications, ethical, social, psychological, philosophical and practical. For instance, stem cell approaches might help to cure Parkinsons patients, but, in the not too distant future, they could also be used to improve brain functions. Rich people would be able to afford this therapy and poor people would not. This could create a most undesirable stratification of the society. But where does therapeutic cloning end, and enhancement cloning begin ââ¬â even if cloning was advanced for purely therapeutic purposes, it would soon spread into the domain of enhancement. This is the argument of ââ¬Å"slippery slopeâ⬠commonly advanced against all biomedical research involving genetic and cellular manipulation. Last but not least, thanks to the promise that genetic engineering and human cloning research hold, the prospects of achieving capabilities for indefinite life extension even within the next twenty to thirty years are very high (Thompson, Harrub 2001b). The consequences of physical immortality for whole populations are simply inconceivable. But today, the possibility of human race becoming permanently deathless looms uncomfortably close to us. Therefore it becomes imperative that something be done to stem the advances of genetic and cloning research before the situation goes out of hand. A number of states have already enacted specific cloning-ban legislation, either banning the cloning of humans or imposing a moratorium on cloning within the state. Other states have taken action at least to consider formally similar legislation. At federal level, the Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2003, which bans the process of human cloning for any purpose and the importation of any product derived from an embryo created via cloning, was passed by the U. S. House of Representatives on 27 February 2003. It was not ratified by the senate though. The Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2005 bans only reproductive cloning while allowing therapeutic cloning. To date, federal regulations only prohibit federal funding for research into human cloning (Cash 2005). Though the science of bio-medical engineering is making rapid strides, and offers the promise of unveiling radical new therapies, simply the fact that a technology exists does not imply that anyone who can pay for it can be automatically allowed to use it. This is because the emerging genetic and cellular techniques and technologies raise all kinds of issues, ethical, philosophical, social, psychological and so on. They carry with them implications very difficult even to comprehend.

Eveââ¬â¢s Food Preparation: Art and Experience in Eden :: Research Papers
Eveââ¬â¢s Food Preparation: Art and Experience in Eden The arts of the first couple before the Fall have been extensively written on. It seems that most critics view prelapsarian art as congruous and natural to Eden, as evidence of prelapsarian splendor. Ann Torday Gulden states that art in Eden is socially neutral: ââ¬Å"Surely art is innocuous [in Eden], an integral part of paradisal blissâ⬠(18). Indeed, Eveââ¬â¢s artistic activity makes Eden seem all the more delightful to the reader. However, with a careful examination of how Eveââ¬â¢s art is perceived by the poemââ¬â¢s male characters, it becomes evident that Eveââ¬â¢s aesthetics do not quite fit. It is tempting for the reader, who lives in a ââ¬Å"fallenâ⬠world, so unequivocally in favor of artistic culture, to praise Eden for examples of cultural activity within it. However, just about every example of Eveââ¬â¢s artistic activity is characterized by an aloofness from divine discourse. The male authoritative characters of Paradise Lost primarily ignore Eveââ¬â¢s examples of talented artistry, giving neither praise nor disapproval. But while the lack of recognition speaks volumes about her low status, it allows her an expansive autonomy from the divinely recognized modes of Edenic worship and devotion which serve to revere God. If the authoritative male characters regard her creativity as inconsequential, then there is almost no limit to the degree of autonomous creativity she can have within that localized sphere of artistry; no one is watching her or correcting her. The way in which Eve prepares food for the dinner guest, the angel Raphael, is a prime illustration of both Eveââ¬â¢s removal from the divine discourse and her expansion of a cultural, creative realm in which she can act, rather than follow. The first thing to recognize about the scene of Raphaelââ¬â¢s arrival to instruct Adam and Eve is that Eve is excluded from proximity to the divine by Adam. To some degree, Adam actually forces her removal. The first one to see Raphael coming is Adam, of course. He says: Haste hither, Eve, and, worth thy sight, behold Eastward among the trees what glorious shape Comes this way moving; seems another morn Risen on mid-noon. Some great behest from Heaven To us perhaps he brings, and will vouchsafe This day to be our guest. But go with speed, And what thy stores contain bring forth, and pour Abundance fit to honour and receive Our heavenly stranger... (5.308) Adamââ¬â¢s language is unquestioning. It is clear that he knows a guest from Heaven is on his way. The speed with which he recognizes that the thing on the horizon is from Heaven shows that he has an intuitive

Objections and Rebuttals
Objections and Rebuttals Whenever a customer has an objection to the offer or price, the problem is not that offer or the price it is actually that we as advocates have failed to build enough value in the product to justify the price. So in actuality the reason for the objection more often than not is that the customer is telling us that they are not willing to pay $19. 95/$24. 99 at this moment. The best way to combat this is to use an intelligent and informed rebuttal, do this by keeping the conversation going don't get flustered or aggravated Listen Think & Respond. Show empathy with the customer let them know you are here to solve their problem, remember we have to make the customers objections seem miniscule and offer a reasonable solution to get the sale. DO NOT LET AN OBJECTION TURN INTO A VERBAL BATTLE BETWEEN YOU AND THE CUSTOMER, YOU WILL LOOSE. How to address an objection: Step 1 ââ¬â Cushion the objection by saying, ââ¬Å" I totally understand butâ⬠¦ â⬠Step 2 ââ¬â Question the objection. I know this is a hurdle for some of us but we have to be confident remember these customers called us for a solution. Use what they revealed in the probing and call them out on it. Step 3 ââ¬â Build more value tie the benefits directly to the objection. Again remind them why they called Paint a Picture for the customer help them visualize the results. Step 4 ââ¬â Close. Don't wait after making a relevant rebuttal that makes purchasing the product today logical ask for the sale. Now lets explore some common objections and rebuttals for those objections. Objection: ââ¬Å"I don't have a credit card! â⬠Rebuttal: ââ¬Å"I totally understand, many people don't use credit cards. This is when we need to go back to the hot button, remind the customer of their answers to your probing questions. Build value by tying the benefits directly to their reason for calling. This is were we need to make an affirmative statement ââ¬Å"If I can guarantee you that for $19. 95/$24. 99 Proactiv would finally get rid of your acne or you get a full refund of the purchase price don't you agree that that would b e a full-proof investment? It's a win win situation you can't loose with this offer. If the customer still says they don't have a card we have to give them every option available such as ââ¬Å"Is there someone there that understands what your going through that could let you use their card and you could give them the cash? â⬠or ââ¬Å"Is there someone that you can call to help you out with this I don't mind holding while we figure this out? â⬠This particular objection can seem tough at first again DONT GET FRUSTRATED display your dedication in finding a solution for the customer. Objection: ââ¬Å"I'm going to think about itâ⬠this particular objection should make our blood boil. What's to think about after talking to a knowledgeable advocate such as yourself, Right? Rebuttal: ââ¬Å" I totally understand but don't you agree that the best way to think about this product is to actually use it in your home and get real time results, because that is exactly what this Risk-Free promotion is aboutâ⬠or ââ¬Å"I totally understand but let's be honest with ourselves are you really going to go home and think about having clear skin? We all know life is hectic and putting this off will only make that clear and healthy skin be further out of your reach we are halfway there its time to take controlâ⬠remember some of these customers are very indecisive we need to be the deciding factor in the phone call and we do this by displaying confidence in our rebuttals. Objection: ââ¬Å"I need to talk toâ⬠this is usually just the customer backing out Rebuttal: ââ¬Å"I totally understand but that is why we have the Risk-Free trial so there are no strings attached , if you thought enough of this person(or yourself) to call then I am positive that this is the solution for them/you the results will speak for itselfâ⬠Objection: ââ¬Å"I will call backâ⬠this one you have to do additional probing WHY do they need to call back Rebuttal: ââ¬Å"May I ask why you would need to call backâ⬠it will most likely turn into another objection , at this point we need to build more value and create urgency in ordering today. Objection: ââ¬Å"I thought it was FREEâ⬠this is the one we get the most do not get frustrated Rebuttal: Agree with the free ââ¬Å"I totally understand the commercial does mention free gifts, and you are going to be receiving some really great free gifts today $35 worth in fact. But we give these free gifts to you when you purchase the Risk-Free trial, we simply want to prove to you how great Proactiv will work for you and what a difference it will make in your life. â⬠Objection: ââ¬Å"I'm driving and I cannot get to my card at the momentâ⬠we need to make this seem very miniscule Rebuttal: ââ¬Å" I totally understand and honestly your calling off our radio add and 80% of our callers are calling in while driving, not a problem happens all the time. I'm willing to wait until you get to a safe spot or stop because I can tell your really interested and we can get that part done and it will take less then a minuteâ⬠Then go on talking to the customer, if you have not received the address info do this first and take your time. If you have already took the address info then talk with the customer a little bit waiting 3 to 5 min is totally worth the sale Now not all of these rebuttals will work like magic and some of them you will have to do some improvising to tailor to your particular call. The key is not to give in until every option has been explored. Remember we want the customer to USE Proactiv and if it does not give them the results they are looking for then that is why we have the MBG. Let the customer know that the reason we have the MBG is because ââ¬Å"We are so confident that this product will absolutely work for you that we just want to prove that and give you the clear healthy skin you deserveâ⬠Also after an objection the rebuttal should include some other values that have not previously been stated to entice the customer to buy instead of repeating what the customer has already heard. Ex. if the customer was already not aware that Proactiv is #1, its also great skin care system, they will always receive free gifts, mix and match, always have a MBG if that is a concern, able to get a hold of us 2 diff. ays to answer any questions and concerns, customizable accounts, free rush, upsells at $5 each, catalog has 25% discount off retail price,à Proactiv's Micro Crystals are exclusively with us, Proactiv was the first acne treatment with 3 steps ââ¬Å"Combination Therapyâ⬠etc.. Some of these can be used in the presentation to boost confidence and sh ow great value before going into offer and also using the V/P/V (Value price Value) format. If we can do a great job with the presentation this will cut out some of those objections and make that price seem smaller, making an easy and quick sale.
